The Shepherd's Year is a new series kicking off at Nashville, celebrating each month of the year. We will release these two at a time every other month until the entire year is out.
Being a long time knitter and spinner, I have an abiding love of sheep. So when I was thinking about a "year of something" kind of series, sheep were a natural fit.
Each month has a sheep on a hill, standing under an arbor. June's version is all about blues. I think that comes from my long-time love of Victoria magazine. Every year their June edition was all about blue and white. So I tend to associate the two together.
These little guys are quick and fun to stitch. And I've added a downloadable template to my Tutorials page so you can finish yours in the same shape as mine if you like.
