I'm working on a few quilt projects this year, and it always seems like I really pick up steam on my quilt projects once it turns really hot outside! I'm hoping to get this Rain or Shine quilt done before summer ends. Which means I need to step on it!
I've got 3 more rows to add, an outer border and then I can get busy quilting it.
I'm also working on this Rail Fence Ripple, which is sized as a lap quilt, but I'm making it a bed size quilt. These blocks finish at 6 inches, so those are some tiny pieces in there! I plan to use a wool batting for this quilt, so it will be extra warm for winter. I've got a ways to go on this one, so probably not this winter - but hopefully the next one!
I've made a few of these Dwell Pillows, and this will be just a small quilt version of that with a few rows of houses. This one is destined for a friend.
A longer-term version of a house quilt is this Village Quilt. I make a few blocks every now and then (although it's been a while), usually after I finish another project. It's a great way to use up the scraps!
That looks like it should be plenty to keep me busy the rest of this summer in the quilting department.
Do you enjoy summer time quilting?
