I did a little re-arranging and tidying in the studio a couple of weeks ago and the photo above shows my new view as I sit here at my computer. A wall of yarn. Not too bad!
It's kind of amazing how things can pile up and yet spread out at the same time after a busy year. And some things just plain go into hiding.
In the last month, we've had a bit of time to relax and take a deep breath before the fall season comes around. Do a little sorting and stacking. A little prepping and planning. It's hard to believe, but October House will be celebrating 5 years this fall! Wow, how did that happen so fast?
When I started this little biz, I just played around with color and had fun dyeing fiber. I still have fun dyeing yarn (no question!) and playing around with color (big fun!). But now we have spreadsheets, and goals, and invoices and taxes and stuff. It's a real business. How cool is that?
And I still love my quiet colors:)
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
