Highlights #1 - looking back and looking forward

I thought I would feature some of the highlights from last year over the next week or so, and I'm starting with the top seller from 2021:
Looking back and looking forward - October House Fiber Arts Journal
Our top selling design for 2021 was a bit of a surprise...Sew Blessed! It was something of a cross-over hit, as it appealed to lots of stitchers as well as sewists.
I love to sew (and quilt) myself, so it was definitely drawn "from life"!
It has a slightly more modern feel to it than many of my designs, especially from this year. I was certainly in a cheerful mood when I kitted this design, and I think it shows:)
I would personally like to stitch this again in blues. We'll see when I can get around to that! Not before Nashville, that's for sure.
Stitched on 36 count Cottage Stone by Colour & Cotton. It uses Weeks Dye Works and Classic Colorworks threads.
I trimmed this with Barn Door chenille trim by Lady Dot Creates, and backed it with a panel covered in a neutral print fabric. It's mounted on a board I found at Michael's. (Always an easy way to finish a project!)
Next up: a look at the new design that was least popular in 2021. Because hey, a little humility is a good thing.
