Trying out new yarns is one of the perks of having a yarn business. I'm always on the lookout for a great new yarn to add to the October House lineup. But that being said, I admit I'm fairly picky when it comes to sizing up a new yarn, and if it will be a good fit for our yarn line.
This yarn pictured is on the short list to make it into the roster.
First of all, it's spun at the same mill that made Arbor, (my personal favorite in our yarn line, which was sadly discontinued) a beautiful bfl yarn that I still miss. Second, it's a great 3-ply blue-faced leicester yarn. Third, it's a great weight..you could consider it a heavy fingering, or a light sportweight.
So, you may soon be seeing this little yarn in assorted October House colors! Now to name it:)
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
