It's Thanksgiving week here in the US, and we're taking the week off!
Like last year, we will be taking a technology break this week. I'll be checking my email once a day, but other than that no computers, no phones, no devices. We'll be back in the studio on Monday, November 29.
We live in such a distracted and fragmented age these days, I find myself needing (craving) real presence, healthy solitude, blissful silence and personal relationships more and more.
Our plans include long walks, reading good books, enjoying homey food and lots of other "in person" activities. But especially giving thanks to the Giver of all good gifts.
"O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so...
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
Psalm 107: 1,9
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
