That title is a bit misleading.
It's not really "sweater weather" around here. Or most of the south, actually. It's definitely still summer. Sometimes the temperature drops out of the 90's...sometimes not. You never know.
I always wonder what it would be like to live in a place where the end of August actually signals the end of summer. (I also wonder what it would be like to live in a place where you need a summer sweater, but that's for another day.)
But, September does make me think of "back to school" and all the fall magazines are out. And people in northerly places are actually wearing sweaters, so I know it's coming.
And really, I just want to be a part of it all. Sweaters, and hot chocolate, and falling leaves...and all of it. Wool, apples, and fireplaces.
And cute little pillows with sweaters stitched on it.
How about you? Are you ready for sweater weather, or do you enjoy the warm weather?
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
