I used to make a lot more jams and jellies than I do these days. But the full bloom of summer always makes me think about making preserves.
Summer Jam is my little tribute to those summer days. All the bowls and baskets of fruit, the steamy kitchen as the jam cooks, and the beautiful little jewel-like jars that are the result.
This has been a banner year for October House, and I have a happy heart full of gratitude for all the love my patterns have received this year. October House is actually turning 10 years old this year! (More about that later, in October:)
But as I thought about how to celebrate such a wonderful year, my thoughts turned to the bounty of a garden. And what gardener do you know that doesn't love to share what their garden produces? Passing along a sweet jar of jam or summer preserves to friends and neighbors captured the way I thought about the joy of designing and stitching just perfectly. So....
Summer Jam will be available as a Limited Edition Freebie throughout the month of August! Once August is over, it won't be available until 2024, when I'll be releasing it as a regular pattern.
I will also be giving away 10 full kits of Summer Jam this month*. They will include a printed copy of the pattern, all the floss, linen, backing fabric and trim. I'll also be throwing in a couple of other surprises/goodies in each kit. Plus, everything will come in a Summer Jam project bag handmade by me!
So, let the celebration begin! I can't think of a better way to celebrate and to say "Thank you!" than to share this sweet design with you.
