Quilt fever...I've got it!
I started this happy little project a couple of weeks ago and I'm a bit addicted to it.
I'm making the Rain or Shine quilt by Thimbleblossoms. Which is really just a nine-patch with star sashing. I'm using a Bonne & Camille jelly roll - Sunday Stroll, and a mini charm pack - Early Bird, for the nine-patch blocks. Such happy and summery colors.
I'm still thinking about what I want to use for the sashing stars, but it's probably going to be something blue:) Got plenty of that in my stash.
I actually started this quilt once I realized the one I started before it was going to take longer to finish than I originally thought.
For that one, I'm using a free pattern from All People Quilt - Rail Fence Ripple. The adorable quilt in the picture is just a large lap size - and I want to make a bed size quilt. That means about double the blocks. Knowing me, more than double the time.
They are easy blocks to make, and finish at six inches. But to get to that six inch size you sew together a bunch of tiny two inch strip sets. I love 'em, but fast they are not.
Summer quilting, though - hard to beat it!

I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
