December 17, 2019
Well, there's nothing like waiting until the last minute! I had fully intended to get this design finished and released at the first of December. But instead, it's the 17th of December!
I had so much fun stitching these pieces, and they just suited my mood for this holiday season! I kept fiddling around with different finishing ideas and more days slipped by while I fiddled.
But, they are finished now(!) - and since Christmas is almost upon us, you can get this pattern at 50% off from now until the end of the year.
This is really a 3-in-1 chart, since you get the Evergreen House chart, the Christmas Tulip ornament chart PLUS another bonus ornament chart.
I finished the house with a gray sparkle linen on the back and Lady Dot chenille trim in the color "Sterling Silver"...perfect! The tulip has a light green linen backing and classic white mini pom pom trim. I used a bit of silver organdy ribbon for my hanger.
I stitched both models on 32 count Attic Lace by Lakeside Linens, and they both use the same palette of Gentle Art Sampler Threads. As always, there is a DMC conversion included in the pattern.
The house finished at about 4 3/4" tall by 3 3/4" wide. If you were to stitch it on 40 count fabric, it would be about 3 3/4" tall by 3" wide.
The tulip finished at 3 5/8" tall by 2 3/8" wide. If it was stitched on 40 count, it would be a wee little 2 7/8" tall by 1 7/8" wide.
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
