It's hard to believe that May is on the downhill swing already! Doesn't it seem like just yesterday was Needlework Expo? Gosh and golly.
Our newest release is a design that's close to my heart. Shepherd Sampler is a nice sized monochromatic sampler that has everything I love.
First off, can I tell you how much I enjoy stitching on a monochromatic piece? No color changes, just miles and miles of soothing one color stitching. Yum.
I always enjoy a good alphabet and working on letters. They just seem to go so fast. And they're just pretty!
I spent a lot of last winter stitching this piece, and it became a good friend and companion. I admit I was kinda sad when it was finished. It took me a few days to find the right piece to fill the gap it left. (But I did! And that piece became another friend:)
But let's get to the details:
Shepherd Sampler is stitched on 36 count Creme Brulee linen by R&R Reproductions. I stitched it one over two with Weeks Dye Works Charcoal 1303. You'll need 4 skeins to stitch it as shown.
The frame I chose is a custom frame from Hobby Lobby, and it's called Black Coffee Moulding #34-3456.
Stitch count: 250 x 248
If you prefer to stitch it on another count, here are the finished dimensions:
28 count - 17 3/4 x 17 5/8 inches
32 count - 15 5/8 x 15 1/2 inches
36 count - 13 7/8 x 13 3/4 inches
40 count - 12 1/2 x 12 3/8 inches
Remember, you will need to adjust your floss requirements if stitching on a different count, or if using 2 strands instead of 1. Your LNS is always happy to help you kit up your perfect project!
Supporting our cross stitch shops and community is a primary concern for me, so I always encourage you to purchase my designs from your favorite local or online needlework shop. It's for this reason that you won't see my newest designs available for sale on my own website for a few months after they are released.

I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
