Sometimes you just need a quick and easy little stitch. Something cheerful and fun that maybe makes you think of summer picnics and patchwork quilts and roadside farm stands.
That was the inspiration behind Maggie's Basket, our newest cross stitch pattern.
It includes this nice oversize pin pillow with patchwork elements and cheerful vintage-feeling colors.
And the sweet little scissor fob has patchwork elements on one side
and the basket on the other side
I finished both of these with plain no-fuss seams. Just stitch 'em up and your done. I used a classic red gingham ribbon for the scissor fob and it makes me happy every time I pick up my scissors. And it kinda makes me want some fried chicken, deviled eggs, and a slice of cherry pie!
