It's almost time for the fall version of Needlework Expo! It's coming up in less than two weeks now.
My first design is a small sampler called "All in a Row".
A lot of the elements of this design come from my love of quilting. I love star quilts and floral applique, so I had to include those! I'm also one of those stitchers who loves alphabets. It's rather nice for me that my initials (RS) fall together in the alphabet, so I can always use a color change to denote my initials.
I included my home state, but you could always put your name or initials in that spot.
I've included a bonus pinkeep with this sampler. It's a row of 9-patches with a big blue star in the center. I stuffed my pinkeep with walnut shells with a bit of balsam (so it smells wonderful!) which makes it a great paperweight or pattern weight as well:)
All in a Row #OH1234
Stitched on 36 count Swiss Coffee by Colour & Cotton. I charted this using DMC in just 6 colors...3 blues, a pink, a red and a green. The pinkeep uses just 4 colors!

I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
