Fabric 36 ct. Winter Moon by Zweigart
Floss
Classic Colorworks Candied Yams, Fallen Leaves
Gentle Art Sampler Threads Cinnamon, Endive, Bittersweet
Weeks Dye Works Persimmon, Bright Leaf, Peach
Finished Size
as stitched on 36 ct. linen, 7 1/2" x 1 3/4"
I finished my model with a strip of a cheerful orange floral "Promenade Seven" by Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics. You can see it in the background of the photo below. I stuffed it with walnut shells and left the edge clean and untrimmed.
I find these skinny minis make a perfect book weight when stuffed with the walnut shells. They are weighty enough to hold your page open, but not so heavy that it's awkward. Just right!
I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
