September 1st always feels like a fresh start to me. Of course, fall is my absolute favorite time of year, and while it's not technically fall yet, it's not far off. Turning the calendar page to September means that we survived the hot summer, and now we get to the good stuff!
It also means it will soon be sweater weather! Apples and cider, blankets and boots, crunchy leaves and crisp days. And yarn, lots of yarn!
I'm diving into the fall colors these days, and they'll be showing up in the shop in the weeks ahead. If you have a favorite colorway you'd like to see back in stock, let me know. You can send me a message on our contact page.

I'm Robin, the dyer and designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about yarn and knitting, stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
