Discontinued Colors - What to do?

It would be lovely if every floss color and fabric I've ever used in a design was available forevermore! Unfortunately, that's just not the case. Colors come and go, and occasionally (though not very often) floss colors get discontinued, and linen colors get retired or become hard to find.

The Gentle Art folks recently published a list of discontinued floss colors. They did provide a list of suggested substitutions, which does make it easier.

But I thought I would do a little research and substituting of my own for our October House Fiber Arts designs to date! These are the substitutions I would make based on my personal comparisons with the model for each pattern.

I'm also including a few substitutions for Lakeside Linens, which can be pretty hard to find.

Here we go! (Happily, it's a fairly short list)
