It's the hottest time of the year around here and that usually means my knitting mojo takes a nosedive. But my cross stitching mojo is in high gear! I'm even participating in a challenge this month on Instagram... the #commonthreadedstitcher . I almost never participate in things like this, since work usually takes most of my time. But I just really wanted to join in this time.
I've been working on several cross stitch projects, but most of them are secret (future designs). Except this lovely little vase of irises by Blackbird Designs called Summer Iris.
I modified the colors a bit - something I almost always do. Honestly, it's probably been years and years since I stitched something with all the called for colors.
It's stitched on 32 count Buttercream from Lakeside Linens. My conversion is as follows:

I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
