We have two new releases coming at the beginning of November, and Beecher's Blooms is the first of these.
This cheerful little design is an homage to a remembrance from my childhood.
When I was growing up, there was a yard in our neighborhood that always had flowers, flowers and more flowers. Mr. Beecher loved to work in his yard and loved to tend his cheerful flowers.
He didn't have a lot of money, but he always managed to have a few dollars for a few flats of flowers and packets of seeds each spring. And he managed to make the most of them over the spring and summer. It was his gift to the neighborhood.

I'm Robin, the designer behind October House. You've found my blog, where I ramble on about stitching and sewing and anything else that catches my fancy!
I love quiet colors, gentle stitches and making things by hand.
